La Gloriette Polar Bear Cowboy Limoges Box

Howdy from the Arctic: a polar bear in full cowboy gear brings a Western spirit to this porcelain piece. It comes from La Gloriette and was hand-painted as a Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Saddle Up, Snow Bear

A creature of ice floes dressed for the open range makes a funny, friendly combination. The bear wears the cowboy look with total confidence, as if the herd might show up on the tundra at any moment, and the result is a piece that gets a grin from anyone who sees it.

Western Ways

Ranch houses, Texas homes and rodeo fans all have room for a piece like this. It suits a family room shelf beside a pair of spurs or a framed brand, and it lightens up a study full of Western novels and horse prints.

Polar Bear Posse

• A La Gloriette piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Belongs with polar bear, Western or Texas themed groupings
• Rides well alongside the baseball and fishing polar bears

Give it to a friend who just moved to Texas, a rodeo regular, a country music fan or a bear collector looking for one more outfit. Collectors who gather the La Gloriette polar bears often say the cowboy is the one guests ask about first.
