Panda Bear with Bamboo Rochard Limoges Box

A giant panda settles in with a stalk of bamboo, the favorite meal of one of the world's most loved animals. Rochard made this gentle bear as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Bamboo for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Wild pandas spend most of their day eating bamboo in the mountain forests of central China. Their black and white coat and calm manner have made them a symbol of conservation around the world. Rochard paints the markings and the bamboo by hand, so each panda has its own soft expression.

Zoo Day Memories

Give it to someone who has waited in line at the panda house, a zookeeper, a wildlife volunteer, or a traveler back from Chengdu. It also suits a baby shower, a friend who collects bears, or anyone who needs a calm, happy face on the desk. Set it on a bookshelf, a nursery dresser or an office desk beside a favorite plant.
