Teddy Bear in a Yellow and Green Armchair Limoges Box

A teddy bear settles into a yellow and green armchair, looking every bit the master of the house. This miniature scene was painted by hand on porcelain in Limoges, France, and made as a Limoges box.

The Comfiest Seat in the House

Every home has a favorite chair, and this teddy has clearly claimed his. The cheerful yellow and green upholstery gives the piece a sunny, cottage feel, while the bear adds an easy charm that makes the scene feel lived in. It sits nicely at the crossover of teddy bear and miniature furniture collections.

Furnishing the Teddy Corner

Pull Up a Chair

Set it on a bookshelf in the reading nook, a nursery dresser or a curio cabinet beside other miniature furniture. It makes a cozy housewarming present, a retirement treat for someone ready to spend more time in their favorite chair, or a thank-you for an upholsterer or interior designer. Teddy bear fans who already own a few bears will welcome a scene this homey.
