Whole Mini Watermelon Retired Limoges Box

Round, plump and whole, this mini watermelon looks as if it rolled straight off a farm truck in August. It was made in Limoges, France, as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, and the design is now retired.

Fresh From the Melon Patch

A whole watermelon is the promise of summer, waiting to be sliced on a hot afternoon. This miniature captures that roundness and the familiar look of the rind. It pairs naturally with the open watermelon box, so the two together tell the whole story from patch to plate.

Summer Spread

• A retired design, painted by hand on Limoges porcelain
• Fits fruit, summer, picnic and farm stand themes
• A natural partner for the open mini watermelon box

A Sunny Place to Sit

Give it a spot on a sunroom shelf, a beach house mantel or a kitchen windowsill. It is a fitting present for a July birthday, a summer hostess thank-you, or a little reminder of warm days for someone in a snowy climate. Farmers market regulars and backyard gardeners usually enjoy it too.

As one of the retired fruit pieces, it brings bright summer color to a fruit or picnic grouping.
