Peanut in the Shell Porcelain Limoges Box
A single peanut in its shell, ready to be cracked open at the ballpark, makes for one of the most unexpected subjects in porcelain. This humble snack is a hand-painted Limoges box from Limoges, France.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame
Roasted peanuts have been sold in ballparks for over a century, and the old seventh-inning song still promises them to every fan. This porcelain peanut honors that tradition, along with the farms of Georgia, Virginia and the Carolinas where so many peanuts are grown.
