Rochard Falcon and Mouse Porcelain Limoges Box

Sharp-eyed and swift, a falcon has made its catch, a small mouse held close. This bird of prey is a Rochard Limoges box, sculpted in porcelain and painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Hunter of the Skies

The falcon and mouse are modeled together, showing the raptor at the end of a successful hunt. Falcons are among the fastest animals on earth, and falconry has been practiced for thousands of years across Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Rochard captures the bird's power and focus in a compact form.

Falconer's Pride

Give it to a falconer, a birder, a raptor center volunteer, or a wildlife rehabilitator. It also suits a sports fan whose team has a falcon as its mascot, or a hunter who admires the bird's skill. Set it on a den shelf, a desk in a nature center office, or a cabinet with other birds of prey, where it adds a touch of wild drama to the display.
