Rabbit on Seesaw Hand-Painted Limoges Box

Up and down goes the seesaw, and this rabbit seems to be enjoying every bounce. The scene is a porcelain Limoges box with hand-painted details, crafted in Limoges, France, and it is a retired design.

Ups and Downs of Spring

A seesaw is pure playground fun, and setting a rabbit on one gives the piece plenty of motion and charm. It captures the light, carefree mood of a spring afternoon spent in the park.

Balancing Act on the Bookshelf

This rabbit looks right on a nursery shelf, a sunny bookcase, or a spring display alongside eggs and flowers. It makes a sweet Easter present, a baby shower token, or a reminder for a grown-up friend of the simple joy of a day at the park.

A French Tradition in Miniature

Little porcelain boxes became the fashion in eighteenth century France, used for snuff, pills and the beauty patches worn at court. The playful subjects came later, and they have kept the tradition going.
