Yellow Egg with Painted Roses Limoges Box

Sunny yellow porcelain painted with roses makes this egg shaped Limoges box a bright note on any shelf. It was decorated by hand in Limoges, France.

Roses on a Golden Morning

Yellow has a way of lifting a room, and roses are the most cherished of garden flowers. Painted together on the gentle curve of an egg, they create a piece that feels like spring sunshine in the middle of winter.

A Basket of Colored Eggs

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits an egg, rose or springtime collection
• Pairs with blue, pink and white eggs for a rainbow display

Sunshine to Share

It makes a cheerful Easter present, a Mother's Day morning surprise, a get well wish or a birthday treat for anyone born in spring. Rose gardeners and friends who favor yellow in their homes will be especially pleased.

Egg collectors often arrange their pieces in a shallow bowl or on a tiered stand, mixing ground colors for contrast. A yellow egg with roses brings warmth to that kind of grouping and keeps the display from feeling too cool. On its own, it suits a breakfast table, a windowsill or a vanity where the morning light can find it.
