Rochard Santa and Tee Pee Christmas Limoges Box

Santa takes a break atop a tee pee in this Rochard Limoges box, a playful holiday scene with a frontier twist. It is a Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France, and it brings a smile to any Christmas display.

Santa Off the Beaten Path

Most Santa pieces show him on a rooftop or in a sleigh, so seeing him relaxing on a tee pee is a happy surprise. The scene suggests a well-earned rest on the long trip around the world. It is a piece with real character and a gentle sense of humor.

A Rochard Christmas

Rochard is known for its inventive subjects and lively painting, and its holiday pieces are favorites among Limoges collectors. Since every box passes under a painter's brush, no two of these resting Santas look exactly the same.

• A Rochard design, painted by hand in Limoges, France
• Fits a Christmas, Santa or Western-themed collection
• Pairs well with sleigh, reindeer and stocking pieces
