Rochard Snowbaby on a Sled Winter Limoges Box

A snowbaby rides a sled through a winter scene, bundled up and ready for the hill. This Rochard Limoges box was shaped in porcelain and colored by hand in Limoges, France, for winter collectors.

Down the Hill We Go

Snowbabies, the little snow-suited figures beloved by holiday collectors, have long been a winter favorite. Paired with a sled, this one captures the rush of a first run down a snowy slope, and Rochard's cheerful style keeps the scene light and joyful. The image brings back memories of red cheeks, wool scarves and the long walk back up the hill.
