Winter Garden Shed Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

A garden shed dressed for the cold season brings a quiet winter scene indoors, with a floral motif to remind you of the beds sleeping under the frost. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box figurine made in Limoges, France.

Potting Bench Under Frost

Every gardener knows the shed goes quiet in December, tools hung up and seed packets waiting for spring. This piece catches that pause in a cozy way, pairing the snug outbuilding with flowers that hint at the season to come. It works as a holiday piece and as a garden piece at the same time.

Winter Village Additions

• Blends into a holiday village or a mantel of evergreen sprigs

Kilns, Kaolin and Holiday Scenes

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain fired at very high heat, and many boxes are painted by hand only after that firing is complete. Give this one to the gardener who misses the flower beds all winter, or set it among pinecones and candles from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day.
