Rochard Football Limoges Box with Lift Off Helmet

A porcelain football forms this game day box, and a small football helmet comes with it as a separate piece that lifts off. Rochard modeled and hand-painted both parts in Limoges, France.

Kickoff in Porcelain

The pairing tells the whole story of the sport in two shapes: the ball that moves down the field and the helmet worn by the players who carry it. Rochard brushed both pieces by hand, so slight differences from one finished piece to the next are expected.

Sunday Afternoon Shelf

Set the ball and helmet together on a den bookshelf, an office credenza or a game room mantel, close to the team photos and pennants. It works well as an end of season thank-you for a coach, a keepsake for a player heading off to college ball, or a birthday surprise for the fan who never misses a game. Fall is its natural season, though football fans keep it out all year.
