Tennis Playing Mice Hand-Painted Limoges Box
Mice square off for a friendly tennis match on this playful porcelain piece, and the game is clearly underway. It is a hand-painted Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and it brings a little storybook humor to the sport.
Game, Set and Cheese
Animals acting out human pastimes are a long-loved subject in Limoges boxes, and mice are among the most popular players. Tennis suits them well, since the scene has energy and motion even at miniature scale.

Serving It Up

Anyone who follows the summer Grand Slam season may want it out on display from June through September, when the matches are on every afternoon.
