Purple Flowered Tea Cup Hand-Painted Limoges Box

A teacup decorated with purple flowers brings springtime grace to any tea table. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box from Limoges, France, and a retired design from the china line.

Violets at Teatime

Floral teacups have been a favorite of hostesses for generations, and purple blooms give this one a soft, romantic touch. The piece is a miniature tribute to the fine painted china that made Limoges famous.

Tea Service Notes

• A retired design from the Limoges china and home series
• Belongs in a tea, floral or china collection
• Pairs with Darjeeling tea can, teapot and coffee pot pieces

Afternoon Tea for One

It looks right in a china cabinet, on a tea cart, or on a windowsill beside a favorite real teacup. It suits a tea lover's birthday, a Mother's Day present, a bridal shower, or a thank you for a friend who always has the kettle on.

Fired and Painted

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste, fired at very high heat, and many pieces are painted by hand afterward. Floral china like this teacup grew out of that same craft.
