Tulip Teapot Limoges Box by Rochard
Tulips bloom across a rounded teapot here, bringing April color to a shape usually reserved for afternoon tea. Rochard turned the idea into a Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France.
Tea Among the Tulips
Teapots and flower gardens have always gone together, from tea served on the terrace to blossoms painted on the finest china. Here the tulips take over the whole pot, so the box reads as both a teapot and a little spring garden. Each petal is brushed on by an artist rather than printed.
Spring Cabinet Rotation

Bloom Season Gifting
Bring it out when the first bulbs push through the soil and leave it on the kitchen hutch through May. It is a cheerful choice for a gardener's birthday, Mother's Day, a tea club hostess, or a friend just back from the tulip fields of Holland. It also sits nicely in a sunroom or breakfast nook, near a window where real flowers catch the light, and it brings a little spring indoors even in February.
