Yellow Teapot with Cups Limoges Box on Blue

A yellow teapot and its cups sit on a blue base, set for afternoon tea in a sunny breakfast nook. This little tea service is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Sunshine Tea Service

Yellow and blue are a cheerful pairing, the colors of French country kitchens and summer skies. Bringing the teapot and cups together in one piece makes it a full tea party in miniature. It is decorative only, though it looks ready to pour, and the blue base sets off the yellow like a tablecloth under a sunny tea set.

Kettle On, Friends Over

Display it on a kitchen hutch, a breakfast table, or a china cabinet beside real teacups. It is a lovely present for a tea room owner, a book club host, a bridal shower tea, or a friend who always has the kettle on. Collectors of teapots enjoy it because it adds the cups, which many teapot boxes leave out.
