Bedtime Teddy Bear Mini Limoges Box

A small teddy bear settles in for the night on this mini porcelain figurine box, a sleepy subject painted with care. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France, and its bedtime theme makes it one of the gentlest pieces on any shelf.

Lights Out, Teddy

Teddy bears have stood for comfort and calm since the early 1900s, and a bear ready for sleep is about as soothing as a subject can get. The mini size adds to the charm, like a keepsake from a bedtime story tucked into a corner of the room.

Moments It Welcomes

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Marks a baby shower, christening or new arrival
• Sits with teddy bear, moon and lullaby pieces

A Keepsake for Grown-Ups

This is a display piece for an adult collector or for a nursery shelf placed well out of reach, not a plaything. Grandparents often choose a piece like this to mark a new baby, then keep it on their own shelf as a reminder of the day.

Sweet Dreams on the Shelf

Pair it with a framed birth announcement, a silver rattle or a stack of favorite storybooks. It also suits a teddy bear collection, where its sleepy pose sets it apart from the more playful bears.
