Rochard Noah's Ark Porcelain Limoges Box

Noah's Ark, the vessel built for the great flood, sails onto the shelf in this porcelain box. Rochard modeled the famous vessel and painted it by hand in Limoges, France.

Two by Two

The story of Noah, who built an ark to carry his family and the animals two by two through forty days of rain, is shared by Jewish and Christian traditions alike. It ends with a rainbow and a promise. Rochard brings that story to a small piece, painted by hand so each ark carries its own small variations.

After the Rain

Set it on a bookshelf beside a family Bible, a mantel, or a curio cabinet filled with animal figures. It makes a meaningful present for a baptism, a christening or a baby naming ceremony, offered to the parents, and it also suits a pastor, a rabbi or a Sunday school teacher. Animal fans appreciate it too, since the ark carried every creature on earth.
