Teddy Bear Shaped Teapot Limoges Box

A round little teddy bear has become a teapot here, his body forming the pot itself. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, and it joins two favorite collecting themes in one small piece.

Tea With a Furry Friend

Teddy bears and teapots each have devoted followings, and pieces that bring the two together tend to find a home quickly. The bear shape keeps the teapot idea friendly and soft rather than formal.

Pouring Into Any Collection

• Hand-painted Limoges porcelain from France
• Belongs with miniature teapots or a teddy bear grouping
• Looks right beside cups, sugar bowls and other tea time boxes

Set Out for Afternoon Tea

A kitchen hutch, a breakfast nook shelf or the tray beside a real tea service all suit it. It works well as a thank-you after a tea party, a Mother's Day surprise for someone who never skips her afternoon cup, or a birthday present for a teddy bear collector.

Fired in the Heart of France

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain, fired at very high heat, which gives these little boxes their bright white body. The color is added by hand once that firing is done.
