United States Capitol Dome Porcelain Limoges Box

The great white dome of the United States Capitol crowns this porcelain box, the same silhouette that rises over the National Mall in Washington. Limoges craftsmen in France modeled and hand-painted this patriotic landmark.

A Dome Over the Mall

The cast-iron dome, raised during the Civil War years, has watched over inaugurations, state funerals and countless visitors. This box brings that symbol of American democracy home, rendered in French porcelain, a fitting nod to the long friendship between the two nations. Its familiar outline is recognized around the world.

For Public Servants and History Fans

It suits a congressional staffer starting a new post, a retiring government employee, a civics teacher or a lawyer sworn in to the bar. Set it on a home office desk, a bookcase of presidential biographies or a shelf with other American landmarks.
