White House Porcelain Limoges Box, Washington Landmark

The White House, with its columns and pale facade, is rendered in miniature in this hand-painted porcelain Limoges box. Artisans in Limoges, France, shaped and painted it as a tribute to the most famous address in Washington, D.C.

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Home to every American president since John Adams, the White House is a symbol of the country as much as a residence. Its familiar silhouette, recognized around the world, makes a striking subject for porcelain and a proud piece for any Americana shelf. Visitors who have toured its halls or watched the tree lighting on the Ellipse often want something to remember that trip by.
