White House Rochard Limoges Box with Removable Flag

The White House stands proud with a removable American flag ready to fly above it. Rochard made this patriotic porcelain Limoges box and painted it by hand in Limoges, France.

Old Glory Over the Lawn

The flag flying above the White House signals that the nation's most famous home is open for business. Rochard adds that detail as a separate porcelain flag, which sets this version apart from the plain White House box. Each piece is painted by hand, so the finished house and flag show small variations.

Stars and Stripes Shelf

• A Rochard landmark design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Pairs with the Capitol, Liberty Bell and eagle pieces
• Brings a flag waving touch to a patriotic collection

Saluting Service

This makes a fitting memento for a veteran, a service member returning home, a public servant retiring after a long career, or a new citizen celebrating naturalization. It also suits a family back from a trip to Washington. Bring it out for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans Day or Flag Day, or keep it on a study shelf year round. Collectors who already own the White House without a flag often add this one for the holidays.

Kaolin and the 1700s

The finding of kaolin near Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in 1768 launched the Limoges porcelain trade, and the region has produced porcelain since the late 1700s.
