Rochard Wisteria Mailbox Limoges Box with Yellow Bird

Wisteria spills over a country mailbox while a yellow bird waits for the post. Rochard brings this garden scene to life in a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box made in Limoges, France.

Letters Beneath the Wisteria

Wisteria is one of spring's great shows, its long purple clusters draping fences, arbors and, yes, mailboxes along country lanes. A songbird perched on the mailbox adds the cheerful sense of good news on its way. The piece feels like a quiet afternoon at the end of a garden path.

On the Writing Desk

Set it on a writing desk where letters and cards are written, a sunroom shelf or an entry table near the day's mail. It makes a charming present for a pen pal, a retiring postal worker, a gardener with a wisteria arbor or a friend who still sends handwritten thank-you notes. Bird watchers will appreciate the yellow songbird too.
