Manhattan Island New York Rochard Limoges Box

Manhattan Island, with its towers rising between two rivers, wraps around this porcelain piece like a skyline view from the ferry. Rochard hand-painted this Limoges box in Limoges, France, as part of its travel and landmark designs.

The design calls up famous sights such as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State tower, the two places every visitor hunts for first. Gathered on one small box, the island becomes a souvenir you can hold in one hand.

A Rochard City Portrait

Rochard has created many travel and monument boxes, and its New York pieces are among the most requested. Each skyline is painted by hand in the Limoges workshop, building up windows, towers and sky in separate steps.

From Midtown to the Mantel

• A Rochard travel piece from Limoges, France
• Joins Statue of Liberty, taxi and night skyline boxes
• Fits a New York, American city or travel memento shelf

Present it to a friend moving to the five boroughs, a couple back from a honeymoon in the city, or a former New Yorker who misses the view. It belongs on a home office shelf or a hallway console where it can remind its owner of the city that never sleeps.
