Rochard Venice Rialto Bridge Porcelain Limoges Box

The Rialto Bridge arches over Venice's Grand Canal in porcelain on this Rochard box, a landmark that has welcomed travelers for more than four centuries. Every bit of the bridge was painted by hand in Limoges, France, on this Rochard porcelain piece.

Over the Grand Canal

Completed in 1591, the Rialto is the oldest of the four bridges that span the Grand Canal, and its stone arch lined with shops is one of the most recognized sights in Italy. Rochard brought it home in miniature, painting the landmark by hand so the stone and arch carry real depth.

Gondola Ride Memories

For anyone who has drifted under the bridge in a gondola or wandered the market stalls nearby, this piece brings back the light on the water and the sound of the vaporetto. It makes a lasting souvenir of a honeymoon, an anniversary trip or a Mediterranean cruise stop. Set it on a bookshelf beside a stack of travel journals, or on a desk where it can remind someone of the next trip still to come.
