Rochard Autumn Wheelbarrow of Pumpkins Limoges Box

Plump pumpkins ride in a garden wheelbarrow on this Rochard Limoges box, as if the season's best harvest were being rolled straight to the farm stand. It was shaped from porcelain and painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Rolling Into October

A wheelbarrow full of pumpkins says autumn as clearly as falling leaves and cider donuts. This design captures the busy, happy work of harvest time, when the patch gives up its bounty. Every pumpkin and the barrow beneath them carry the brushwork of a Limoges painter.

The Rochard Touch

Rochard pieces are prized by collectors for lively, story-driven subjects like this one. A Rochard harvest scene makes a natural anchor for a fall shelf, and it rotates in each year when the weather turns crisp. Collectors who keep a seasonal lineup often start autumn with a pumpkin piece.
