Baby Eating on a Pillow Limoges Figurine Box

Propped up on a plump pillow, a baby enjoys a meal with complete concentration, a scene any parent will know by heart. This sweet figurine is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box from Limoges, France.

Mealtime on a Cloud

The pillow forms the base of the box, and the baby settled on top brings the whole piece to life. It catches that happy, slightly messy stage when first foods are an adventure and every spoonful is a small event. Because each one is painted by hand, the expressions vary a little from piece to piece.

First Foods, Fond Memories

New parents tend to take hundreds of photos of these early meals. This little figure keeps the memory in porcelain instead, and it can sit beside a framed picture from the high chair days for a gentle pairing on a dresser.
