Large Banana Limoges Box with a Ladybug

A large banana gets a surprise visitor, a little ladybug that has landed on its curve. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made by artisans in Limoges, France.

A Bunch of Fun

Bananas are one of the cheeriest shapes in the fruit bowl, and the ladybug adds a dash of good luck and garden charm. The banana forms the box, and the ladybug is painted on by hand, a tiny detail that makes people lean in for a closer look.

The Fruit Bowl Shelf

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a fruit, kitchen or ladybug collection
• Pairs with apple, corn with ladybug and asparagus boxes

Smiles in the Kitchen

Set it on a kitchen windowsill, a breakfast table or a shelf in a sunny pantry. It makes a fun present for a nutritionist, a smoothie fan, a produce market owner, or a friend who needs a reason to smile. It also suits a good luck wish before a new job.

Ladybugs are a well-loved symbol of luck in many cultures, said to bring good fortune to whoever they land on. A ladybug on a banana carries that same cheerful wish in porcelain.
