Rochard Sand Pail Limoges Box, Sailboat and Shovel Design

A sand pail painted with a sailboat, with its own little shovel, brings back long days building castles at the water's edge. Rochard turned this seaside pail into a porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Castles at Low Tide

Few things say summer at the shore like a pail and shovel. The pail forms the box, while the sailboat and the shovel complete the design. Each part is brushed by hand, so the colors and lines vary slightly from one pail to the next.

The Beach House Shelf

• A Rochard summer design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• A good fit for beach, coastal or summer collections
• Pairs with beach tote, sun hat, crab and seashell boxes

Summer, Saved for Later

Set it on a beach house mantel, a guest bath shelf with a nautical theme, or a desk where you count the days until vacation. It makes a sweet present for a family that returns to the same beach every year, a host thank you after a week at the lake, or a summer birthday surprise.

The sailboat in the design adds a second theme, so the pail also fits nicely in a sailing or nautical grouping, right beside anchors and lighthouses.
