Removable Honeycomb Beehive Limoges Box Figurine by Rochard

A tidy porcelain beehive stands ready for the swarm, and a small honeycomb piece lifts free to sit beside it like fresh comb pulled from the hive. Rochard makes this hand-painted Limoges box in Limoges, France.

Busy as a Bee

The hive is the main box, while the removable honeycomb gives it a second little element to arrange however you like. It is the sort of clever, good-humored detail Rochard is known for, and every piece is painted by hand, so the color on the hive and the comb shifts slightly from one example to the next.

Sweet Spots to Settle It

Set it on a kitchen shelf next to the honey jar, by the window over the sink, or on a garden room table among potted herbs. It is a fine thank-you for the friend who keeps backyard hives, a nod to a beekeeping club, or a birthday surprise for anyone who drizzles honey on everything. Teachers whose classrooms have bee mascots and gardeners planting for pollinators will smile at it too.
