Beige Floral Lamp Shaped Limoges Box

A beige table lamp scattered with painted flowers gives this porcelain figurine box its gentle, homey shape. It is a hand-painted Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, and a decorative piece that does not light.

Soft Light, Softer Florals

Beige is the quiet neutral of a well-loved sitting room, and here it lets the painted blossoms carry the color. The lamp shape calls to mind reading chairs, afternoon tea and the warm pool of light on a side table at dusk, all in a miniature that fits in the hand.

Little Room Furnishings

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Suits a floral or miniature furniture collection
• Pairs with armchair, fainting couch and hurricane lamp boxes

Bedside or Bookcase

Set it on a bedside table, a reading nook shelf or inside a dollhouse room display, where it looks right at home among tiny chairs and sofas. Its neutral palette blends into almost any decor, from farmhouse to traditional. It makes a thoughtful housewarming present, a thank-you for an interior decorator, or a birthday surprise for a friend who collects miniature furniture. Paired with the blue floral hurricane lamp, it starts a small lighting collection that never needs a bulb.
