Blue Floral Hurricane Lamp Limoges Box

Shaped like an old-fashioned hurricane lamp and painted with blue flowers, this porcelain box glows with charm even though it gives off no light. It is a hand-painted Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, and it is purely decorative.

Lantern Light in Blue Bloom

Hurricane lamps once lit farmhouse tables and seaside porches when storms knocked out the power. The shape still feels cozy and welcoming. Covering it in blue flowers gives the familiar form a fresh, cottage-garden look that suits blue and white decorating schemes.

Blue and White Companions

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a blue and white, floral or miniature furniture collection
• Pairs with teapot, armchair and blue rose pieces

A Glow Without the Flame

Set it on a side table, a nightstand or a bookcase shelf, where it reads as a tiny lamp in a miniature room. Group it with other furniture boxes, such as a fainting couch or vanity, to build a little parlor scene. It makes a sweet housewarming present, a thank-you for a host with a blue and white kitchen, or a birthday surprise for a friend who collects anything with blue flowers.
