Scalloped Blue Limoges Box Painted with Flowers

Blue scalloped edges frame a cluster of painted flowers on this porcelain box, giving it a traditional French look. Painted by hand in Limoges, France, it is a genuine Limoges box with a gently waving outline.

Waves of Blue

A scalloped edge is one of the oldest decorative shapes in porcelain, and it always feels a little softer than a straight line. The blue trim and the flowers inside make a classic, easy pairing.

A Home in Blue and White

Blue and white rooms are a natural fit for this one, whether that means a country French kitchen, a cottage bedroom or a china cabinet full of blue patterned plates. It also stands out nicely against a pale wood shelf.

Picked for Mother's Day

• Made in Limoges, France, and painted by hand
• Belongs with blue floral or scalloped shape boxes
• An easy choice for a birthday, Mother's Day or a spring visit

Collectors who keep a row of shaped boxes will find that the waving rim breaks up the straight lines of squares and rectangles, making the whole shelf look more relaxed and lived in.
