Blue and Yellow Soup Tureen Porcelain Limoges Box

This miniature soup tureen is painted in blue and yellow, the sunny colors of the Provencal table, and looks ready to take its place at the center of a long country lunch. It is a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, its decoration applied by hand in Limoges, France.

Sunshine of Provence

Blue and yellow are the colors of southern France, of lavender fields, sunflowers and painted shutters. Paired on a classic tureen shape, they make a piece that feels warm and welcoming, like an invitation to linger over a summer meal on the terrace.

For the Host With the Most

It is a charming present for a home cook, a host who loves to entertain, or a friend just back from a trip to Provence. Set it in a china cabinet, on an open kitchen shelf, or on a sideboard beside real tableware. A bride building a French country kitchen will appreciate it too.

Display it beside the red tureen box and the two together make a cheerful little set, bright enough to liven up any dining room shelf.
