American Buffalo Porcelain Limoges Box Figurine

An American buffalo, the massive icon of the Great Plains, takes shape as this porcelain figurine box. Its form was modeled and painted by hand in Limoges, France.

Home on the Range

Bison once roamed North America in the tens of millions, and their comeback from near extinction is one of the great conservation stories. In 2016 the bison was named the national mammal of the United States, a fitting honor for an animal woven into Western history.

Western Trail Pairings

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Anchors a Western, ranch or wildlife collection
• Pairs with cowboy boot, horse, cactus and eagle pieces

For Ranchers and Road Trippers

It suits a rancher, a park ranger, a fan of Yellowstone, or a traveler home from a trip through the Dakotas or Wyoming. Bills fans in Buffalo, New York, may also appreciate the nod. Display it on a lodge style mantel, a den bookshelf or an office desk with a Western flair.

Limoges porcelain is a hard-paste porcelain, fired very hot, which helps a strong figure like this keep its crisp shape.
