Rochard Springtime Cardinal Limoges Box

Spring has arrived for the cardinal on this Rochard box, the seasonal partner to its winter cardinal. The songbird was sculpted in porcelain and colored by hand in Limoges, France.

Song of the New Season

Cardinals stay all year in much of North America, but spring is when they really sing, whistling from treetops as they court and build nests. They are the state bird of seven states, more than any other bird, which makes them a backyard favorite from Virginia to Illinois.

Backyard Birder Picks

Give it to a birdwatcher on a spring birthday, a gardener who keeps a feeder stocked, or a friend in Kentucky, Ohio or North Carolina who knows the cardinal as the state bird. It sits nicely on a sunroom shelf, a kitchen windowsill or a desk by a window. As a reminder of a loved one, many people find a cardinal comforting in any season.
