Chasing Wings

Every kitten eventually learns that butterflies are the most fascinating things in the garden. This scene catches that first moment of curiosity, the kitten intent and the butterfly just out of reach, a picture of a summer afternoon on the lawn.

The Garden Cat

  • A retired design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
  • Fits a cat, butterfly or garden grouping
  • Pairs with flower, birdhouse and watering can pieces

For Gardeners with Cats

This is a sweet present for a gardener who shares the yard with a cat, a butterfly garden volunteer, or a friend who just adopted a kitten. It also makes a thoughtful remembrance, since butterflies are often seen as a gentle symbol of a loved one's spirit.

Cat collectors and butterfly collectors can both find a place for it, and it bridges the two neatly on a shared shelf. Set it on a sunroom table, a kitchen windowsill or a dresser, where its soft colors fit easily with spring and summer decor.
