Cat Curled in Slipper Porcelain Limoges Box

A cat has curled up inside a cozy slipper, claiming the warmest spot in the house. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, made in Limoges, France, captures one of the most familiar and endearing habits of house cats.

The Warmest Seat in the House

Cats are experts at finding comfort, whether in a sunny window, a laundry basket or a slipper left by the bed. This little scene shows a cat at its most content, with fur and slipper painted by hand so every piece has its own coloring.
