Cat on a Blue Armchair Porcelain Limoges Box

A cat has claimed the best seat in the house on this porcelain box, settling into a comfortable blue armchair as if it were a throne. The piece was painted by hand in Limoges, France, and is a genuine Limoges box.

The Best Seat in the House

Every cat owner knows that the favorite armchair never really belongs to the people of the house. This box captures that familiar scene with good humor and a cozy touch.

Curled Up in Blue

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a cat, pet or furniture shape collection
• Pairs with cat on red chair, ball of yarn and fish boxes

A Perch by the Reading Lamp

Set it on a living room side table, a library shelf or beside the actual chair the household cat prefers. It makes a sweet thank-you for a pet sitter or veterinarian, a birthday present for a cat collector, or a gentle memorial for a pet who loved a particular chair.

Paired With Its Cousin

Collectors of cat boxes often pair this blue armchair scene with the sleeping cat on a red chair, since the two make a cheerful matched set on a shelf. Together they tell the same story in two colors.
