Rabbits Beneath a Mushroom Limoges Box

Rabbits huddle beneath a mushroom cap, sheltered as if waiting out a spring shower. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box comes from Limoges, France, and it brings a storybook woodland scene to the shelf.

Sheltered Under the Cap

Mushrooms and rabbits share the forest floor in countless fairy tales, and few images feel cozier than small animals tucked under a toadstool. This piece captures that quiet moment, with the mushroom acting as a little umbrella overhead while the rain patters on the leaves around them.

Spring Showers and Easter Morning

Set it on a sideboard with Easter decorations, a reading nook bookshelf, or a cottage style kitchen windowsill. It makes a sweet Easter present, a spring birthday surprise, or a thank-you for a gardener who welcomes rabbits even when they nibble the lettuce. Anyone who loves Beatrix Potter style scenes will find it hard to resist, and it stays in season from March right through early summer.
