Little Ones Waiting for Christmas Morning Limoges Box

Two little ones wait beside a decorated Christmas tree, wide awake with excitement for Christmas morning to arrive. This tender holiday scene was hand-painted on porcelain in Limoges, France, as a Limoges box.

Is It Morning Yet?

Few memories are as sweet as the night before Christmas, when sleep seems impossible and the minutes crawl by. This box captures that sense of wonder and anticipation, with the tree glowing and the waiting almost over. It speaks to anyone who remembers creeping downstairs before dawn.

Wonder Under the Tree

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• A tree and waiting scene for Christmas collections
• Pairs with Santa, stocking and toy boxes

A Family Tradition

Set it beneath the tree, on a mantel or on a nightstand where it can be seen first thing Christmas morning. It makes a heartfelt present for new parents, grandparents of twins or siblings, or a family celebrating its first Christmas together. Many families bring it out each year as a reminder of their own early mornings.

Painted After the Fire

Many Limoges boxes are painted by hand after the white porcelain has been fired, and their metal mounts are fitted by hand too. That care suits a scene as tender as this one.
