Brown China Cabinet Porcelain Limoges Box

A brown china cabinet, the kind that holds a family's best dishes, becomes a dollhouse-sized treasure in porcelain. This Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, with its warm wood tones brushed on by hand.

Fine China, Finer Still

There is a pleasing joke in a porcelain china cabinet, porcelain displayed in porcelain, and collectors of Limoges dinnerware tend to enjoy it most. The warm brown suggests polished wood and the dining rooms where such cabinets stand guard over holiday place settings.

The Dining Room Set

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Pairs with dresser, armchair and footstool furniture pieces
• Fits a miniature furniture, dining room or dollhouse collection

Heirlooms and Hutches

This is a fitting present for someone who has inherited a grandmother's china, a newly married couple registering for their first set of dishes, or an antiques dealer who specializes in fine tableware. It sits naturally inside a real china cabinet, on a dining room sideboard, or in a curio shelf with other miniature furniture. Collectors of miniatures sometimes furnish an entire room, and this cabinet makes a handsome centerpiece for the dining area.
