Love Birds with Eggs Porcelain Limoges Box

Two love birds nestle close in a natural setting, keeping watch beside a clutch of eggs. This hand-painted porcelain Limoges box was made in Limoges, France, and it captures the quiet devotion of a pair building a home together.

Two Hearts, One Nest

Love birds are famous for pairing for life and sitting shoulder to shoulder, which has made them a lasting symbol of affection. The eggs beside them add a hopeful note, a promise of the family to come. It is a tender scene, painted by hand, so the plumage tones differ a little from piece to piece.

For Couples and New Beginnings

Here is a sweet choice for an engagement, a wedding shower or an anniversary, and an especially meaningful one for a couple expecting their first baby. Place it on a bedside table, a dresser or a sunny bookshelf near the window.

Bird watchers will enjoy it on a desk beside their field guide, and it makes a gentle Easter or Mother's Day present as well. Year after year, it reminds its owner of the simple joy of two who chose each other and built a nest side by side, much as real love birds do each spring.
