Rochard Christmas Tree in a Basket Limoges Box

A Christmas tree sits snug in a woven basket on this Rochard Limoges box, bringing a cozy country-cottage look to the holidays. Shaped and hand-painted in Limoges, France, it trades the formal tree for something warm and homespun.

Evergreen in a Wicker Nest

Before grand ballroom trees, many families brought home a small evergreen and set it in whatever basket or pot they had. This piece remembers that simpler style. The basket weave and the green tree together feel like a farmhouse kitchen in December.

Rochard Under the Mistletoe

• A Rochard piece, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits a Christmas tree, holiday or farmhouse collection
• Pairs with Santa, sleigh, gingerbread and wreath boxes

A Windowsill Forest

Line it up on a windowsill with other little trees, give it a spot on the kitchen hutch, or let it anchor a holiday tablescape. It is a lovely thank-you for a Christmas party host, a present for a neighbor who decorates early, or a remembrance of a first Christmas in a new house. Small enough to fit anywhere, it brings a touch of the season into rooms the big tree never reaches.

Rochard Christmas pieces are widely collected, and a tree in a basket gives a rustic note to a shelf that might otherwise be all red and gold.
