Rochard Collie Dog Porcelain Limoges Box

A Collie, the graceful herding dog made famous on screen by Lassie, is captured in this loyal porcelain portrait. Rochard made it as a Limoges box and brushed the coat with color by hand in Limoges, France.

Faithful Friend of the Hills

Collies were bred in the Scottish Highlands to guide sheep across rough ground, and their intelligence and devotion quickly won them a place in family homes as well. Rochard honors that steady companion in a small sculpture. Every dog is painted by hand, so no two Collies look exactly alike.

Herding Breed Pairings

• A Rochard dog breed design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Fits a Collie, herding breed or dog portrait grouping
• Pairs well with sheepdog, border collie and sheep boxes

Home Is Where the Dog Is

Set it on a mantel, a reading table, or a curio cabinet beside framed photos of a favorite pup. It makes a heartfelt present for a Collie owner, a breeder, a herding trial competitor, or a fan of the old Lassie films. It is also a gentle remembrance for someone who has lost a faithful companion, a small way to keep that loyalty close.
