Sheriff Colt Revolver in Case Limoges Box

A Colt revolver lies in its case like a lawman's heirloom pulled from a dusty frontier trunk. The gun and its case are rendered entirely in hand-painted porcelain, made as a Limoges box in Limoges, France, for display only.

Law and Order on the Frontier

The Colt revolver became one of the most recognized symbols of the Old West, the sidearm of sheriffs, marshals and cowboys in countless tales. Presented in a case, this miniature has the feel of a cherished family piece kept safe between generations. Every part of it is porcelain, so it is purely a decorative tribute.

Riding With the Posse

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a Western, cowboy or law enforcement collection
• Pairs with sheriff hat, cowboy boot and horse pieces

Badge of Honor

It looks at home on a rolltop desk, a bookcase in a ranch-style den, or beside framed Western prints. Consider it for a deputy's retirement, a police academy graduation, or a birthday for the friend who never misses a Western on television. Collectors of Americana often group pieces like this with frontier themes, and this one makes a strong anchor for that shelf.

Fired in France

Limoges porcelain is hard-paste porcelain fired at very high heat, which gives even a small piece like this its dense, glassy body.
