Rochard Butterfly Cup and Saucer Porcelain Limoges Box

A cup and saucer with a butterfly perched on it makes this Rochard Limoges box a garden tea party in porcelain. It was painted by hand in Limoges, France, where fine teacups have been made for generations.

Tea in the Garden

An afternoon cup in the garden, with butterflies drifting among the flowers, is a picture of summer peace. Rochard joins those two pleasures here, setting the butterfly on a cup and saucer that look ready for the first pour.

Garden Party Table

• A Rochard design, hand-painted in Limoges, France
• Belongs with tea, china or butterfly collections
• Pairs with teapot, sugar bowl, flower and ladybug boxes

Sunroom Sipping

Set it on a sunroom table, a china cabinet shelf or a tea cart. It makes a graceful present for a tea lover, a garden club member, a friend recovering from an illness, or a mother on Mother's Day. A butterfly also stands for renewal, so it suits a new beginning such as retirement or a move.

A Teacup Heritage

Porcelain has been made in Limoges since the late 1700s, and teacups and saucers were among its earliest and most famous products. A cup-and-saucer box carries that heritage into miniature.
