Ladybug on a Daisy Porcelain Limoges Box

A daisy opens wide, and a tiny ladybug has landed on one of its petals. This cheerful porcelain figurine box was painted by hand and made in Limoges, France.

A Lucky Landing

Gardeners welcome ladybugs, and folklore says one landing on you brings good luck. Paired with a daisy, the flower of innocence and fresh starts, the bug turns this little box into a wish for good fortune. The simple pairing of one flower and one small visitor keeps the design bright and uncluttered.

Wishes for a Fresh Start

Give it for a new job, a new home, a recovery, or an exam passed. It also works well as an Easter remembrance or a spring birthday surprise for someone who loves to garden.

Meadow and Garden Company

• Hand-painted porcelain from Limoges, France
• Fits a flower, garden or insect collection
• Pairs with bee, butterfly and potted flower pieces

Set it on a kitchen windowsill, a potting room shelf, or beside a vase of fresh-cut daisies on a breakfast table. The small scale of the ladybug against the broad petals makes it a pleasing piece to look at up close.
