Porcelain Dog Bookends Limoges Box from Rochard

Two loyal dogs keep a row of books standing straight, doing the job of bookends on a shelf in miniature. Rochard made the scene as a hand-painted porcelain Limoges box, crafted in Limoges, France.

Good Boys, Great Books

The dogs frame the little row of volumes the way real bookends would, though this is a porcelain box and not a working set. It brings together two things many people love most, a good dog and a good read. Rochard tends to pair subjects like this, and the result has a cozy, lived-in feel.

Shelf Duty

• A Rochard design, painted by hand in Limoges
• Fits a dog, reading or library themed collection
• Pairs well with book stack and reading glasses pieces

The Study Corner

Set it on a bookshelf between real novels, on a writing desk, or on a side table next to a favorite reading chair. It suits a librarian with a dog at home, a book club member, a dog trainer, or a writer whose dog sleeps under the desk during every draft. It also makes a warm housewarming present for a family moving into a home with its first proper library wall.
