Dog in Dog House Porcelain Limoges Box

Home is wherever the dog is, and this one has claimed its own little house for good. The dog house itself is the porcelain Limoges box, painted by hand in bright colors and made in Limoges, France, with its resident sitting right at the doorway.

Nobody Home but the Dog

A dog house is the most familiar spot in any backyard, and the porcelain version keeps that easy, homey feeling. The roofline, the doorway and the dog are all brushed in by hand after firing, so the colors on one box will never line up exactly with the next.

Good Company for Rover

• Hand-painted porcelain made in Limoges, France
• Sits comfortably beside other dog, puppy and pet subjects
• Adds a backyard scene to a shelf of animal pieces

Sit, Stay, Shelve

Set it on a bookcase next to a framed photo of the family dog, or on the desk by the leash hook near the back door. It suits a new puppy homecoming, a birthday for the person who walks the dog twice a day, or a gentle remembrance for a friend missing a longtime companion. Dog trainers, groomers and veterinary staff also tend to get a kick out of seeing their daily work captured in porcelain, so it makes a friendly thank-you for any of them as well.
